Poor Courtney
After school today we picked Sam up from school in our wagon. The wagon has a trailer so its perfect for all the kids. Courtney was riding in the trailer and we were in front our neighbors house on the way back and some how the trailer got loose. Courtney wasnt sitting in it properly so when it got loose she went a tumbling. Blood everywhere! Scary! I scooped her up and told Sam to get the wagon. Sydney sat there and screamed because she wanted me to pick her up too. I left her there and made Sam go get her while I tried to clean Courtney up. The bottom cut looked like it needed a stitch so I got everybody in the car. I tried to call a Amy and Kim to see if they could watch Sydney and Sam but neither answered. I drove by Amy's house and thankfully she was there so I left them there and headed to urgent care. I went in and the lady at the front desk said that it would be over and hour wait and she thought the ER would be a better bet. I called the pediatricians office and for some stupid reason they don't do stitches so I had to go to the ER. I didn't want to run all over the west valley trying to find an urgent care that had a shorter wait. The ER is so much more expensive, we have $150 copay and if I would have gone to the drs office or urgent care, the total bill probably wouldn't be that much! I hate that they have to charge so much but that's where the people with no insurance go and they end up having to make up for all the no pays somehow! I digress...back to the story. We got right in. Had to sit in a room for a bit before the doc came in then we had to wait a little more for the nurse to come in to put the gel on it to numb it then we had to wait for it to numb then the doc came back and said that it didnt need any stitches just butterfly bandages so then we had to wait for another nurse to come in and put those on and then wait a little more for the discharge papers...so we were there for 1 hour 35 minutes total which I didnt think was bad for being an ER!
after
we got back to Amy's and Courtney really wanted to play for a bit so we played for a half hour. Our plan this afternoon was to go grocery shopping but since that didnt happen "whataburger" it was for dinner! On the way home Sam asked why everything always happens to Courtney...she is the one who broke her arm and has had plenty of bumps and scratches on her...she is my crazy one!

A secret
Today I took the twinks to Walmart so they could pick out a present for Samantha's birthday. After picking out about 10 different things and telling me what they want for Christmas over and over they picked out this mermaid bathtub toy. At dinner tonight Courtney told Sam that they bought her her present.
Sam "what is it?"
Courtney "i'll tell you when we get to washington"
S "what is it?"
C "it's a secret but I'll tell you one thing when you open it up it will be a mermaid!"
Sam "what is it?"
Courtney "i'll tell you when we get to washington"
S "what is it?"
C "it's a secret but I'll tell you one thing when you open it up it will be a mermaid!"
Courtney can't keep a secret!

Sleepover
Tonight we all snuggled up in my bed and watched a movie. This week I figured out how to hook up the wii in my room so now I have Netflix on demand. The girls thought it was great. Courtney fell asleep during the movie so when it was all over I told the other 2 they could sleep in my bed too. Sydney had the greatest smile and couldn't believe it and Sam said I was the greatest mom ever (which she took back after I said I didnt want her laying on me all night!) after about 20 minutes they were all snoring away... Sydney by far is the loudest. I couldn't fall asleep in their so I am now sleeping in Courtneys bed! I'll probably sneak back in though before they wake up! Good times!

sydney
Yesterday was a GREAT day from the moment Sydney woke up to the time she went to bed not ONE whine! I seriously can't remember the last time that happened...It was awesome!!
she is in kindergarten!
This morning I woke Sam up at 6:55. Her ride was coming at 7:45...plenty of time, right? WRONG! She changed her clothes 3 times before coming downstairs at 7:44. So I sent her off with a muffin which she only took one bite of and gave it back to me. She wouldnt walk out the door without brushing her hair either. I told her to do it the car but the cute nieghbor boy was taking her so she wanted it brushed! Wow, I am soo looking forward to those middle school years!

Packing
I am slowly packing up the house. I have most of the pictures off the wall and wrapped up. All of the wine glasses and such. plates and just stuff that we have that I guess we need but not for the next few weeks. It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate, pasta makers, Cuisinarts, so many bowls but I do use most of it jsut not all the time. I have gotten rid of a ton of stuff and I will probably be getting rid of more. Tonight the kids helped me pack 4 big boxes of their stuffed animals and some toys that they can 'live' without for the next few weeks. They wanted to keep packing which I would love to do but I think since we do have 16 days I better not pack up all their toys or I will be unpacking in a few days when they start saying they want this or that. They are so excited to move!

Papa rocks!
Sunday night I did the stupidest thing, I put potato peels down the disposal. The first time I did it was liKR 7 years ago and it was a huge disaster and against my better judgment I did it again! Thankfully my dad fixed it and boy did I mess it up! He had to unscrew pipes and everything! Then yesterday he fixed the upstairs bathroom sinks that needed parts. The people that owned the house before us were foreclosed on and they took everything they could. Instead of taking THE whole faucet like they did in the master bath they just unscrewed the drain thingy and pulley. When we first moved in Jon and I searched to find the parts and never found them. We pretty much gave up because we decided the house would have been flooded a few times if they could stop it. The renters want it fixed and Papa found the parts at the habitat for humanity restore for a buck! He had to do a little Jerry rigging but it works! I love my daddy-o, he rocks!
