Oasis Open Gym

When we first moved down here I took the girls to Oasis Gym once a week. They always had a great time but the Open Gym hours were MWF and with Samantha having to be at school at noon last year I never took them since it's about 25 minutes from the house. I saw that this year they now have T/Th OG from 1-2 so it's a perfect time for me to take the twinks! They had a blast and I think this will now become a weekly thing!
Courtney patiently waiting for a kid to get out of the way in the foam pit so she could jump!

running down the trampoline!

Courtney is my crazy no fear jumper!

Syd likes to jump too but she always makes Courtney go first!

they even got me in the foam it!

and at the end of the hour the girls got stamps! I told them before we even got in there that if they fought leaving we wouldnt be able to go back...they did a great job and cant wait for next week!

I told them we'd go get smoothies afterward. I was going to take them to Jamba Juice but then I decided to take them to Costco...$3.40 for one very berrie smoothie and one strawberry sundae!
happy sharing twinkles!

Go Daddy!

Hockey

Jon joined a mediocre coed hockey team that plays in a mens league. They didnt win one game so I dont think he is going to play again for the next season unless he can get on a better team. He did enjoy getting out there but they have way to many people on the team and most of the time he didnt get to play as much as he would have liked. And he'd come home and complain about how nobody was competitive. Last night was the "playoffs" and the game started at 7 so I took the girls to watch. 5 minutes into the game Sam asked when the game was going to start. I told her it already had and she was like where are the people the Coyotes have a lot more people come and watch them! Their goalie rocks! I want to say that shots on goal were like 60 to 18 but they lost 5-1. If they didnt have that goalie it would have been more like 25-1!Jon is #12

when Jon was on the ice the girls would run up and down the bleachers following him. They couldnt figure out why he wouldnt stop and wave! During the time he wasnt playing they were flirting w a little 4 year old hockey player. His mom took a picture of all of them and said Hockey players always get the girls!

silly poses

Yesterday Jon charged up the battery in my camera that broke when I was in WA and it now works again. Crazy! I am happy. I have been so bad at taking pictures because I hate carrying around my big Nikon even though that camera does take better pictures. The girls (Jessica, Samantha and Sydney) were acting crazy silly and wanted to different poses---

naps

The girls gave up on naps when they were 2 but since school has started every once and awhile a nap just hits them....

Sydney slept like this for an hour!

I really hate it when it happens especially to Sydney because it really messes up her sleep schedule and can become a royal pain trying to put her to bed at the correct bedtime!

Vegas!

Friday night my parents flew down for a visit and a babysitting job! Jon had to go to Vegas on Monday to meet with his old boss about a job. (Sounds promising but it's a start up so it looks like I might go out in this horrible market and try to find a job w benefits...but that's a whole other blog post later) Since Jon was going up I thought it would be fun to tag along. I have found with this parenting thing that every 3 months or so I just need to get away for a night or two to get my mommy mojo back! Jon found a deal at the Monte Carlo for cheap and they have a nice pool with a wave pool and a lazy river which we thought we'd use. Turns out sitting in the shade by the pool was just the ticket!

Our room is up there somewhere on the 15th floor!

I just had to take a picture of this...a cigarette machine! I swear I havent seen one of these in 15 years! I dont know why anybody smokes though...they stink, are expensive ($8.50 a pack) and they cause cancer!

Jon playing a little 5 cent video poker. The one thing I did notice is the recession has hit the casinos sorta...there were so many 1 cent and 5 cent machines even in the big fancy casinos like the Bellagio! The buffets were more expensive then in the past though. We drove out of town the first night to the Green Valley Station Casino thinking that it would be cheaper since the one at the Monte Carlo was $29.99 it was but only by 6 bucks.

All in all it was a great trip. Got my mojo back!
