tub of stuffed animals

Each girl has a big round tub that they keep their stuffed animals in. (There are way to many stuffed animals in this house) Last night around midnight Courtney started yelling for me. I went into her room but she wasn't in her bed. It was pretty dark in there and I couldn't find her. Finally she says mom again...and she was all snuggled up in the bucket with her animals and she couldn't get out! Made me laugh for two reason 1) that she fell asleep in there woke up and couldn't get out and 2) about an hour before that I snuck in her room to get something and didn't even look at her to see if she was in bed I just assumed she was in her bed and I didn't want to wake her! I so wish I would have got a picture of that!

F#$@ing DUCKS

So back in 2008 Uncle Lex and Aunt Leah gave the twinks 100 ducks Jon replaced a couple toilets in 2009 in because of them. They all got thrown in the trash after the second toilet. Well for the past year Jon has been yelling at the kids that they are making to much of a mess in the bath and water is splashing down into his garage and the corner was getting wet and moldy. Finally I went and looked at it and I dont think it's coming from them splashing...especially since we have been doing morning baths so they havent really been playing. I think we have a leak under there. So Papa and Jon spent the afternoon tearing up the dry wall and sure enough it was a leak. Some how when Jon put the toilet on it didnt seal right and water has been oozing over into the ceiling and down through the walls. Lots of mold completely gross. he feels bad that he has been blaming the kids the whole time. Well now my dad and Jon have a pretty big project they are now in the middle of. Making new cabinets and cleaning up mold. Oh the fun of being a homeowner! I blame the damn ducks!

Gingerbread men

This is my first attempt to make gingerbread cookies from scratch. I go the recipe from allrecipes.com They puffed up a littl more then I would have liked but the kids didnt care, they did all the decorating themselves until I ran out of frosting we have a few more to do tomorrow!

love naps...sorta

Once every five or six days the at least one of twinks take a nap. This week is was Wednesday afternoon. They are so much happier afterwords but it then the bed time usually gets pushed back. They dont have to go to school on Thursday mornings so it worked out fine this day. Courtney stayed in her bed with Namy and read books quietly while Namy slept next to her. Sydney on the other hand kept getting up and coming into our room asking tons of questions and showing us pictures in the books she was looking at. She finally fell asleep around 10 pm! They sure are cute though when they sleep!

Namy was stuck when she tried to get up Sydney laid down on her lap.

"cut your legs off"

Courtney would not sit still at dinner tonight. She is probably the worst of the three these days mostly because she stands up on her chair and eats. Jon and I were getting mad at her. We told her she wasn't getting a Christmas cookie if she didn't sit still. That didn't work she was still standing on her chair. Then Jon said if she didn't sit down he was going to" cut her legs off at the knees!" She sat right down. Then about 60 seconds later she stood up again and looked at Jon and said "please don't cut my legs off!" and she sat back down!

MEAT!

Albertson's is selling Prime Rib for $3.77 lb. Jon was a tad bit excited. He went down and there were only little roasts out so he asked the butcher for a whole one. (21 lbs 6 oz to be exact) She was all ready to cut it all up for him anyway he liked it and he said no thanks. That way he gets to do it all himself. A roast for Christmas Eve and the rest will be steaks. What a happy man!

Gingerbread house

This evening from 5 to 6 her class had a gingerbread house making family event. We were all going to go but Jon wasn't feeling well so Samantha and I went. I don't think I could have done it by myself with all three! We made a single story but Sam wanted more so I took off the roof and made another story! We had so much fun. At one point of of her classmates moms came in late and sat next to me and she said have you been eating? I am like yeah and she says I can tell you have frosting all over your face! Oops I was caught!
