Waverunner

Spent the afternoon with Jeff, Josh and Kate (poor Rita had to work) Jeff took the girls on their first waverunner ride! The twinks wanted to go fast but Kate and Sam wanted to go slowly...good times!

Courtney deep in thought

3rd Cousins--- Sam and Kate
Sydney smiles!
posing for the camera
riding with Jeff!
waiting for her turn to go faster!
That's Sam and Kate way out there...Josh is wanting them to come back and is yelling for them!
too fun!

Courtney was a little timid at first

but the twinks loved it!

a relaxing mornig

I usually lay in bed until I hear one of the kids wake up. Today I did something a little different and got up way before the kids. I really should do that more often. I sat outside with my coffee and the laptop. I read "the paper" really just a bunch of news sites...like the Washington Post, The New York Times, Fox News, Huffington Post. Plus checked facebook and twitter! I really should have gotten up when Jon did and went for a walk around the beach by myself. Maybe I will do that tomorrow! A great way to start the day!!

Sickness

This morning we headed out to Birch Bay for the week. Kids have swim lessons and the Blairs (Kate to be the one Sam is excited about) are at their family cabin for the week too. Well as we were packing up I had the truck have in and half out of the garage. I thought the girls were ready so I turns the car on with the CO2 pump into the garage. Sam and Syd were goofing around a little to long and inhaled the fumes more then I would have liked. The we spent the next hour in the car. The girls were acting tired by I didn't think anything of it. They weren't complaining or anything. The minute we got to the condo Sam ran in and then ran out and said she just threw up twice on the living room floor. Thankfully all they ate was a banana between the 3 of them. I took her to the toilet where she threw up more then Syd comes out of her room and she is threw up in the hallway and the bedroom. Then they both tell me they feel much better but that they are hungry! They are acting normal and no fever but what a strange thing to happen to them at the same time. I think it was the fumes and car sickness but I am making them take it easy today anyways. Maybe this evening we will go see Kate!

fun day

Yesterday the girls spent literally all day in there room. I told them we couldnt go anywhere until their beds were made and everyhting was put away. I kept checking on them and they were either playing or yelling at eachother saying "so and so isnt cleaning" it was very frustrating. I cleaned the rest of the house and watched a couple episodes of "In plain site" (my new obsession on netflix!) I let them come out to eat breakfast then lunch and dinner. I think it was 7:30 when it was finally all cleaned!
So today we got up and didnt mess anything up and went into town. We had to drop Jons golf clubs off at the office because he is playing golf tonight. then we stopped by Nicoles coffee shop for hot chocolates for the twinks, water for Sam and a coffee for me. Then we went to Boulevard park for a bike/scooter ride. Sydney wanted to scoot while Sam and Court biked. We got a little hungry so we went to Wins drive in. I used to go there a lot when I was a teenager. The place hasnt changed a bit! Then we went to to the library and picked out a bunch of books and dvds. The girls wanted to go to another park for a hike through the woods. So we went to St. Clair park after we played a bit on the play structure we started our little hike without water...Courtney started crying she was so thirsty so we decided to go home which wasnt exactly what Sam wanted to do so I promised tomorrow we'd pack snacks and water and come back for a longer hike! It was a great day!!

Seattle Children's museum

Just realized that I didnt blog about our trip to the Seattle Children's museum we took last month. We first went to Alexa and Bernts place to pick up Alexa and see their digs. They live really close to downtown and a lot of fun things in walking distance. We headed down to Seattle center where the space needle is and had lunch in the food court. It was food court type fair. The kids had pizza, I had a crappy burrito and Alexa had a subway sandwich. The funny thing was after we did the museum we walked out a differnet door and it was the "bite of Seattle!" we could have had such great food!! I did get us some tasty lemonade and ice creams. Sam had a chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick!

the art room was their favorite place!

Samantha's sand art!
I had to take a picture of Courtney's pretty package picture becasue it was the first time she wrote her name all by herself!

we "accidentally" left all their art projects their which they didnt realize until we were about an hour away!

my attempt at being artsy...

I blew this one up poster size!

We had a great time and the kids were pretty much perfect the whole time. Love it when that happens.

projects...

On Sunday we finally got out the paint that I bought in June to paint the garden. I was waiting for a couple days of sunshine before we did it and we have been staying out at the Bay a lot. We finally had a day of sunshine while we were home! The kids had a blast and tried not to be to critical on their painting techniques! I did have to finish the table up though.
Courtney side is purple
all three did the front stripes!

Syndey picked sky blue and added some pink to it...

Sam of course is pink and wrote her name and dots in purple!

plus I saw this idea when we went to the Children's museum in Seattle a few weeks ago...which I just realized I didn't blog about...I thought it was a great idea since my kids lose the caps to markers every time they use them. So far it's been 4 days since we made this and not one marker has dried out!
