Wow I honestly think this is the longest break I have ever had on my blog... We went to TX for Spring break and I didnt I thought I'd try to not get on the computer for the whole time. I did it but I cheated a bit and used my phone for updates on facebook, twitter, emails and the news so really I just gave up blogging, major surfing and scrabble. I will be blogging about the trip soon. We did a lot of stuff and took a ton of pictures. Fun trip mostly (got a sinus infection the last couple days which wasnt fun being cramped up in a car for 2 days!)
Early mornings
The trip really has put the kids off schedule. It's a real bummer. Yesterday Courtney went to bed pretty late. I put her down around 8 (I went to bed then too because Jon said if I stayed up and watched tv until 11 he wouldnt have any sympathy for my sickness on Monday) Jon checked on all the kids around 9:30 and he said Courtney was sitting up with all her books from her bookshelf "reading." He put them back and made her go to sleep but at 6:45 she came in out room with a tamborine thingy and a big ol smile on her face. She first went to me and I ignored her then she went to Jon and he ignored her so off to Samanthas room she went! Which made Sam mad and got Jon up! Sydney woke up soon after that so by 7:30 we were all up. That hasnt been the case in a very long time in the house! I know things could change next year with Sam going to Kindergarten but I'm dreading that!
Last night around 6:30 Courtney had a little melt down and wanted to go to bed. I wanted to keep her up at least to 7:30 but she was so ready. So we got her teeth brushed, jammies on and she jumped in bed and went to sleep! She woke up for a second around 9:30 but went right back to sleep...but since she went to bed so early that means another ealry morning. At least it was 7:10 and there wasnt a tamborine! Sydney woke up at 6 but I brought her back to bed w me (Jon left for SF this morning at 5) and she went back to sleep and slept until 7:45. Sam woke up at 7:30. So far that's been our day! Swim lessons, free ice cream at Ben and Jerry's and TACO Tuesday... Should be a fun day!!

Could have been...
This afternoon a little before 5 o'clock I was chatting on the phone w my Bff Kim and trying to make dinner when I get a really loud knock on the front door. It was the neighbor lady from across the street and she just looked at me and pointed. The twins had opened Sydney's window and were throwing wipes out the window. She then told me they were all sitting on the ledge of the window too. OMG! I got Jon and we went upstairs and did some big time discipline. I am not a big fan of spanking but in this case Sam got a big huge one. Jon yelled that they could die if they fell. I was just in complete shock and kept thinking that 'could have been' the end of one or all of them. Jon then went and got the screw driver and made it so the window can only go up a couple inches. Let's just hope the house doesnt burn down now and they cant get out. The things that go through your mind as a parent!
Chuck e Cheese
Last night we met up w the Kemps at Chuck e Cheese for dinner. I had lots of left over tokens from Samantha's b'day party plus we got more when we ordered food. The kids had a blast! Poor Courtney had to go to the bathroom 3 times in the hour and half that we were there. She didnt make it the last time so we had to go since I forgot the diaper bag w an extra set of clothes, thankfully it was only #1. Hopefully it's a fluke that she had to go so much and not anything else. Good times!
I loved this picture because all 3 are in it and it wasnt planned for that. It was just suppose to be a Courtney picture!
indoor picnic
On Sunday Jim and Jill had a little gathering at our house. Jill cooked a yummy turkey and Jon BBQ's up some beef. It was pouring down rain so the kids tore the house apart. Ryan was in town with his family. The Johnson's came (minus Chantel and Haley) and the Charleston's. It was fun catching up with everyone and the crab dip and guacamole was super tasty!
That Courtney sure loves Jim!

Ice skating

Friday Samantha started a 9 week beginner ice skating class called "Snowplow Sam 1" at Polar Ice in Peoria. We live in the desert so we thought she should know how to skate! Jon was planning on taking her but then a meeting came up so he wanted me to take then at the last minute he changed his mind and called and said he couldnt make it to the meeting because he really wanted to take his daughter to her first ice skating class! He's also getting back into hockey too. It's not a secret that he would love to have one of his daughters holding stick sometime soon! We bought her some skates and she was so excited to get them because they look like they have high heels...but Jon really was bummed that he bought her figure skates for her first pair of skates not hockey skates!

Heaven
Samantha made a book today. She wrote a story (it looked like gibberish) but when she read it to me this was part of:
"Today I went to Heaven. It was raining but I didn't care I saw grandmother. She was wearing a sparkly dress and had sparkly wings. I played with Jesus and we had a lot of fun!"
What a great story!
