Woodland Park Zoo

Last friday we headed down to Seattle to go to the zoo and spend some time with our cousin Trinity!
We got there about 15 minutes before them. I didnt realize there were two entrances and we ended up waiting by the penguins. Lori's phone (Trinity's mom) stopped working so it took us about 45 minutes to finally meetup.

we have no idea what these penguins were looking at but they sat there for a long time looking up...

a photo op in front of the wolves

so close to the bear!!

always have to get a shot on the brass orangutans!

Sydney in front of the "dragon"

another photo opt! Poor Samantha wanted to hold trinity's hand but Sydney and Courtney would throw major embarrassing screaming fits if they didnt...Sam was sad but a good sport about it.

and Sydney!

The hippo was surrounded by muddy water and I just knew Courtney was going to step in with her socks and jelly shoes...at least it was at the end of the day. I tried to grab her and she ended up falling into it and got her pants all wet too...

They all got to pick out monkey's!

Samantha made her monkey hang from the branches!
We are now memebers so we'll be making the trek down at least once a month this summer...good times!

Summer reading

We started a chart of all the books we are going to read this summer...

Graduates

The girls I nannied graduated from high school on June 10. Leah, Alexa Kay and I drove down the weekend before to help kick off the celebrating. I can't believe how fast time has gone. They are both have grown into confident amazing women...love them dearly!!

First day of fun!

Since it was Sam's last day of school I let her choose something fun to do. It was a hard choice. She narrowed it down to the jumping fun zone, the Lynden Park and swimming out at Birch Bay! Swimming won!

Courtney

Courtney always asks me to draw things like snowflakes, people or animals. I always tell her to try to do it but she ends up screaming and crying and yelling "I can't just do it" it's very annoying. Today she crossed the line and said "if you don't do it I will hurt you but if you do it I won't!" Needlessly to say I didn't draw the 'snowflake' and told her she will get a double time out if she even thinks about hurting me.

Deming Log Show weekennd!

This past weekend was the Deming Log show for busted up Loggers. it's a huge fundraiser for loggers that get hurt during the year. It's a great time. Ludtke Pacific trucking sponsors the best Load of logs every year. I dont think my dad and brothers have missed one. It's a great time! Dad takes the RV out and has a permanent spot he parks it at. Lot's of friends and family stop by. The BBQ is the best!!

There is always a sucker in the crowd that will give shoulders rides!!

First time Sydney ate a steamed clam out of the shell...she loved it even though this picture says otherwise!

It's always a perfect Log Show weekend when it's Leah's Brithday!
