July 4th
Another successful 4th of July. The guys played golf in the afternoon and then we all headed over to "Alropa" for a family potluck. Jon made some tasty mac and cheese! Birch Bay is the place to be for fireworks. It's crazy! This year there were a ton of luminaries which the girls thought were really cool! Drives me crazy though that people start lighting them off before the sun goes down! For being an American holiday the Chinese and the Indians sure make a ton of money off the fireworks!!

A day on the tide flats with a bon fire on the beach cooking hot dogs and s'more's!
at one point Sydney took off and said she wanted to swim in the "ocean." We were about 3 football fields to the "ocean" and she just took off. I realized when she got to about the first 75 yard line that she really wanted to go. I thought she just wanted to swim in the tide flat area> I ran after her...what a work out that is! we had fun and she found lots of seashells and seaweed!

Cousin Josh picked up a lttle crab this morning and this afternoon we let him freee
At one point Sydney said she wanted to run and swim in the ocean so she starrted running way out to the end of the tide flats...I wasnt expecting that I thought she was going to go to the first little bit of water but no she took off. I ran after her and we had a grand ol time! She sure loves the water!!

third person
Courtney now refers to herself as Courtney. I'll ask a question and she answers "Courtney...does, wants, needs... whatever!" She yells "Look at Courtney" when she wants you to watch her do something. "Courtney is hungry." "Courtney is hot." "Courtney is thirsty." You get the picture. It's pretty funny.
