Bread maker

This morning Samantha and I went to Goodwill to see of they had some Ballet shoes for her and Sydney. (Courtney has a pair of hand me downs from Sam) they didn't have the shoes but they did have a bread machine! Jon and I have been talking about getting one and I even have looked on line at amazon just last week! I picked one up that looked like it had never been used for $9.99! I looked up the manual on the Internet, found a recipe and Jon made a yummy French bread! So simple!!

The first casualty of Lucky

Hear no evil!

911

Last week I was out one night and Jon was home with the girls. He was getting them ready for bed and all of a sudden the door bell rings. It was the county sheriff! Sydney dialed 911 and left the phone off the hook so they had to come check to make sure everything was ok. Jon said the sheriff gave them all a lecture on only calling when it is a true emergency. It scared Sydney so much that when Jon was telling me about it the next night she started crying and ran to her room. I don't think she will be calling 911 ever again! The funny thing is I have never taught her anything about 911 so she learned it at school or on the tv. Hopefully she will do it of there is an emergency and not be afraid!

5 yr check

waiting for the dr. in the funny shorts!
Sydney is 43 1/8 inches tall (70%) and 36 1/4 lbs (30%)

Courtney is 42 3/4 inches tall (35%) and 34 lbs (12%)

They both have huge tonsils soem of the biggest she has ever seen and that could be a reason why they are having trouble with night time potty training especially w Sydney. The Dr wants to wait a year before we do anything about it. It could be a reason for their behavior problems too. They could have sleep apnea which makes them cranky and tired. She did ask if Jon and I wanted to talk parenting classes or the kids see a therapist. I said no at least for now. She did recommend one on one time with each of them though. We really need to try and work on that. All in all it was a good check up!

New years eve

We spent new year's eve making homemade BBQ pizza and chocolate "fundue!" A perfect way to end the year!. We celebrated New York time and got the kids to bed and asleep by 10 pm. Jon and I stayed up and just watched tv. Such party animals we are!! At 10 to he turned the tv off and went to bed! He heard the fireworks going off at midnight so rolled over and kissed me again! Happy New Year!!

Alderwood Mall

On FridayJon took the afternoon off and we headed to Alderwood mall to Build a Bear. Courtney lost her Tiana Bear this summer and has been really bummed about it. Papa gave the girls some money and they also had some in their piggy banks so off we went! sam brought her rabbit that was broken and I am not a sewer and never repaired it so she got them to fix it for her. She picked out some clothes for the bunny. I forgot to take a picture of therenew stuffed animals but  here they are with their hearts...
I think this is absolutely the best pic of Courtney!
She loved this tree at Nordstrom. It had a bunch of birds all over it!
beautiful Samantha
Courtney and Sydney both picked out tiara's to wear to Alexa's wedding (if they dont lose them!)
waiting for Jon and Courtney to come back from the bathroom!
Cheese!
We had such a great time. They all were on their best behavior too, no melt downs or fits. A perfect outing. We ended up spending about an hour in Target too. The kids all came back with some fun stuff and money left in their purses!

Ice skating w Kate and Josh

On weds we met up w Rita, josh and Kate at the rink. We got there right when it opened and paid for 5 of the plastic helpers which ended up being the biggest pan because every time the kids took a break someone would come and ask of we were don w it! Poor Rita stayed w Josh who didn't want to skate that much and it was stressful! We ended up losing one but that was ok since Josh didn't skate much.
The twinks loved skating and I mean really loved it! If we hadnt already decided to to ballet I would have signed them up for lessons. They hardly took any breaks and were bummed when we left! We skated for over 2 hours!
Kate and Josh were big girls and were off skiating by themselves!
