Shopping and Christmas Eve

One of the fun things I did this Christmas season was take each girl shopping so they could by each other presents. It was fun finding out what each kid wanted to give their sisters. Samantha got each girl a Wii games. Sydney got Courtney 2 sets of "Bob" books and Samantha a fun coloring peace sign. Courtney got Sydney a skateboard Plus she got Samantha a barbie fashion maker book. We let them open their gifts to each other on Christmas eve so they could have something to play with. We usually go out to my Uncle Tom and aunt Cindy's for Christmas Eve but this year they were sick. So we decided to have a seafood dinner. We sent my dad to Costco to get the largest shrimp he could find and scallops. The shrimp were ginormous! Jon made a really yummy Alfredo type sauce for the noodles and a yummy Cesar salad. After dinner we watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation which we figured out after the fact that it probably wasn't the best to watch with the kids mane in a few more years. My dad and I were going to go to the candle light service but we decided at the last minute not to.

Christmas program

I have been really behind on blogging and noticed didn't post anything about the winter program at school. The whole school went up to Nooksack valley high school and put on a musical show about the winter holidays. The girls wore their pretty Christmas dresses and looked so cute up there singing!

6 year check

Took the girls in for a quick check up today.

Sydney is 44 lbs and 45 1/2 inches tall and Courtney is 40 lbs and 44 1/2 inches tall.

We got referred to see a sleep specialist. They might have sleep apnea which could be caused by the enormous tonsils. They are still in pull ups at night and the sleep apnea might be why. They rarely wake up dry and its rather expensive to keep two in pull ups! Hoping we can find the cause. The doctor said that their hyperactivity could also be a cause so its a good thing I get it all check out. It will probably take a few months to get an appointment at Children's in Seattle but we are getting the ball rolling.
