Saturday Surprise Party

On Saturday we headed up to Surprise to their 50 year Surprise party. Last year we went up for the evening and saw the hot air balloons glow and we heard the day time part was pretty cool. And it was. They had so much going on, a carnival (which we didnt even walk through) a petting zoo, pig races. It was a great time! The girls got to sit on Santas lap...

A bump

Samantha came home from school today with a huge bump on her head. She said she walked into a pole and went to the nurses office 2 times because it hurt so bad. I thought it was odd that no one said anything to us. Jon picked Sam up and the teacher didn't say anything to him and there wasn't a note in her folder. I can understand a little one but this thing as big as a silver dollar on her forehead. Well I guess she isn't in preschool anymore!

Last night Alyssa invited us to her work for their first annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. They have grand plans in the years to come. We were all alittle bummed because we thought we were going to get free hot chocolate but it was free apple cider...and free cookies too.

The Scottsdale Fireman were there collecting gifts for the toys for tots drive which we completely forgot about!

the advent calendar is filled with chocolate. I have a book from my childhood that on each day it tells part of the Christmas story. It's written in the King James version very fancy words but the kids really like.
