Bed time at our house has always been pretty easy. I read "Happy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" by Marc Weissbluth M.D. when the twins were under 3 months old. Totally worked for us! Samantha was another issue when she was a toddler but it's all great now. Bed time is at 8:15 and they pretty much are in bed by then. Samantha at times tries to stay up later but doesn't argue very long. We say our prayers and talk about the day but it's a quick process. They usually listen for about 20 to 30 minutes a book that's been downloaded from the library. All and all it's pretty easy...except this last week the twins listen to their book then sart talking and talking and talking! We have to go in and tell them to stop. Last night I went in and said "I am so glad that you two are the best of friends and want to talk but it's 9:30 and it's time to go sleep!" Sydney responded with "we are better then friends we are SISTERS!" And Courtney yells, "TWINS!" It was super cute but I still made them be quiet and go sleep!

When Samantha was three I told her that when i was 10 I had my birthday at the space Needle so she decided then and there that's what she wanted to on her 10th birthday. There have been many times we have been in Seattle and we have wanted to go to the top but Samantha said no we had to wait until her 10th birthday! The day finally came! And what a gorgeous day it was.

Samantha got to bring her friend Faith and we brought her mom Lisa along too for me to have a friend! We stayed at the Westin in Seattle while the twins and Jon stayed in Bothell with the Hughes. It was so much fun. We walked around Bellevue Square and went swimming at the Hotel pool.
The girls brought their American girl dolls!
Alyssa works at the Westin and had a yummy dessert sent up for Samantha!
It was a perfect 10th birthday!
It was a Pinterest kid of day!
