Fun day!

While Sam was at horse camp I took the twinks to the Blaine library.
Got there in time to watch Sam groom a horse!
then off to the C shop for some ice cream, snow cone and candy!
The sun was shining so we roasted hot dogs and s'mores on the beach!
Sisters rule!

Then a quick swim in the pool and they were so tired that they went right to sleep at 9 pm! We sure do love summer

Birch bay summer

Even though the weather isn't saying its summer it is... We packed up and headed out to birch bay for some fun! This week Sam Wyatt and Dawson are at horse camp. Good times!

Last day of school

I have been wastin time on pinterest lately. I saw this awesome idea where someone made a banner that said "welcome to summer" which gave me this idea!
The twinks and I spent the morning working on it and surprised Sam when we went to pick her up!!

Deming Log Show

Every second full weekend in June is the Deming Log show for busted up loggers. This year was there 50th year which I had a hard time comprehending since they said the first show was in 1963. Ludtke Pacific Trucking has been involved sponsoring since the beginning. My Dad got a nice plaque thanking him. It's the same show every year and it's a lot of fun. i am always impressed. The girls even like to sit through most of the show which is saying a lot since it's like 4 hours long. The favorite is a clown act where this guy climbs up a pole and does this whole routine and then kids "shot" at and ziplines down. The night before is vendors night and they always ahve great food and the kids love to climb on all the equipment and walk around the stadium.

samantha stayed out with Papa in the Rv and next year will too. It's always a good time and I didnt even mention the BBQ and strawberry shortcake!

All comers track meet

Every Monday night the Bellingham Parks and Recreation put on an all comers track meet. I heard about last year by someone but they told me that you had to be five. I so wish we knew about it earlier even when we didnt live here. It was so much fun and they had little kids that were 2 race. It was so much fun to watch and the girls had a blast...they can't wait for next week!

Sam's 100 m dash was the best...neck and neck...1st place!!

They also did long jump but I didnt take any pictures or video of that...next week!

the best field trip of the year...

On Monday we headed out to Larrabee State park. It's probably my favorite state park in the area. we go there a few times a year. It's has so much to see. The 1st graders have been learning a lot about the pacific northwest sea life and we saw a bunch of it. Lot's of sea anemones and starfish. Even though the weather wasnt the greatest the kids had a blast. Good thing Sam and I wore our rubber boots!

The girls invited us to a royal tea party Sunday afternoon. They wanted us to dress up for it and they even made Jon wear a tie! Cookies, watermelon and 2 different kinds of tea. A good time was had by all!
