Vegas!

Friday night my parents flew down for a visit and a babysitting job! Jon had to go to Vegas on Monday to meet with his old boss about a job. (Sounds promising but it's a start up so it looks like I might go out in this horrible market and try to find a job w benefits...but that's a whole other blog post later) Since Jon was going up I thought it would be fun to tag along. I have found with this parenting thing that every 3 months or so I just need to get away for a night or two to get my mommy mojo back! Jon found a deal at the Monte Carlo for cheap and they have a nice pool with a wave pool and a lazy river which we thought we'd use. Turns out sitting in the shade by the pool was just the ticket!

Our room is up there somewhere on the 15th floor!

I just had to take a picture of this...a cigarette machine! I swear I havent seen one of these in 15 years! I dont know why anybody smokes though...they stink, are expensive ($8.50 a pack) and they cause cancer!

Jon playing a little 5 cent video poker. The one thing I did notice is the recession has hit the casinos sorta...there were so many 1 cent and 5 cent machines even in the big fancy casinos like the Bellagio! The buffets were more expensive then in the past though. We drove out of town the first night to the Green Valley Station Casino thinking that it would be cheaper since the one at the Monte Carlo was $29.99 it was but only by 6 bucks.

All in all it was a great trip. Got my mojo back!
